Rubella (German Measles)
Rubella infection may begin with 1-2 days of mild fever (99-100°F, 37.2-37.8°C) and swollen, tender lymph nodes, usually in the back of the neck or behind the ears. A rash then begins on the face and spreads downward. As it spreads, it usually clears on the face.
Gelsemium: Slow onset of Rubella with fever and headache; pains in back of head, spreading to forehead; head feels heavy; vision blurred; heaviness, drowsiness, and lack of thirst with chills; trembling, weakness and dizziness; heavy feeling in legs; drugged feeling; head pain at the back of the neck; no thirst even though feverish; fear of ordeals, exams, and speaking events.
Pulsatilla: Can be used as prevention; thirstless; clinging and weepy; warm rooms and becoming warm aggravate; open air ameliorates; low fever and the itchy skin/eruptions are worse for heat; eruptions itching and worse for warmth with white or yellow discharge.
Coffea: Recommended by when the child is overly excitable, extremely sensitive to pain, sleepless because of sensitivity to all noises. Can be used for teething when desires ice/cold drinks.
